Hello Everyone! Welcome to my blog and a new sketch challenge created by Teneale Williams.
You may have hopped across from Katrina Healy and have seen another beautiful card from her!
Usually I can to and fro with a sketch challenge, but I think the new Seabed 3D embossing folder is so stunning it made this sketch challenge easier by becoming the focal point for my card.
I stamped the Sea Horse in Stazon Jet Black ink, then partially and lightly water coloured
in with the Pretty Peacock ink using the medium sized water painter. Likewise, the shells are stamped in Soft Suede ink and then water coloured partially and lightly in with Crumb Cake ink. I thought the shells in crumb cake gave the right amount of contrast.
I also added an accent of the new Snowflake Splendor Ribbon which will be available in
August 2020, mini catalogue, with an overlay of white thread for a small bow.
A few of the Whale of a Time Sequins for some sparkle and subtle colour.
I embossed the bottom of the inside piece, used a strip of the Whale of a Time designer paper and the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon. I just had to add the silver dollar shell from the Seaside Notions stamp set.

Maybe its my Nordic heritage that has drawn me to the Whale Done Suite with the Seabed embossing folder, designer series paper and embellishments. The colours in the papers are a calm and soothing mixture, and the patterns provide so many combinations.
For my card, I combined the Whale of a Time designer series paper, embellishments and the Seabed embossing folder with the Seaside Notions stamp set. I used Whisper White card stock for the base and background.
The 3D Seabed embossing folder makes a beautiful background and stands out on its own. I followed the sketch layout and used the sentiment from the Seaside Notions stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink. I alternated full colour with a lighter colour produced by stamping off once.
I used two of the Whale of a Time designer series papers to create the border strip and the underside of the wave pattern for my scallop piece.

For a final touch, I lightly splattered the front with the light Pretty Peacock blend pen. This effect is done by flicking the larger end of the pen on the inside of the cap.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and it gave you some inspiration!
Happy Stampin' Fun!
