INKspired Sketch Challenge 122 - Hooray To You

. Hello Everyone!  Welcome to my blog and a new sketch challenge created by Teneale Williams.

You may have reached my blog from Katrina Healy, if not please hop back when you are through and check out what she has created using this sketch challenge!

Sketch challenges not only inspire me, but they also 'challenge' me!  I thought long and hard about what stamp set to use, what colours and papers etc., something that can stand alone with simplicity around it. I will be interested in hearing if this card has achieved this.

I have used the Hooray To You Stamp Set together with the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper in  shades of blues.

I started with a card base of Thick Whisper White card stock and topped it with the shades of blue Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper. The focal image is stamped in Night of Navy Ink on Whisper white card stock in regular weight.

I wanted to make the colours pop, so I used the beautiful and versatile white crinkle ribbon. Vellum paper is used as an offset background to the focal piece, this was chosen as I wanted to accentuate the crispness of the white and blue.

I used a piece of the DSP and heat embossed the words from the Hooray To You Stamp Set in white, and die cut a small piece of vellum to make a scalloped trim. The edging was done with one of the dies from the Be Mine Stitched Die Set.

I also added some embellishment from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots.

What's a card without an equally beautiful inside.
Here I added some Melon Mambo ink to jazz it up a bit! I used the sponge brayer to apply a small layer of ink at the bottom of a piece of white card stock.  Then using a scrap strip of the DSP, I again created a scalloped edging. Delicate and sweet!

Have a go and let me know how you went!

I hope you have enjoyed my card and it gave you some inspiration!

Happy Stampin' Fun!

Thank you for visiting my blog, and now hop on over to Narelle Macey for more inspiration!
