INKspired Challenge 151 - Reflected in Nature

Hello Stampers!  Welcome and thank you for joining another INKspired Artists Challenge created by Teneale Williams.

I will have to say I took quite a bit of creative license with this blog sketch challenge. I changed the orientation, and used a square instead of circle to begin with. I really wanted to use the Reflected in Nature stamp set for a wintery Christmas scene.

This stamp set just yelled out to me and took me back to younger years spent in a cabin in Lake Tahoe.

The colour scheme for this card is Black, grey, silver, white and pool party for the water reflection. The background designer paper is from the Peaceful Place Specialty paper. The grey background with white and silver snowflakes helps set the stage.

The 'Merry Christmas' sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set.

Creating the reflection in the water is simple as it is part of the stamp image. It's adding a bit of watercolour wash, I used pool party, and some glitter with the Wink of Stella pen and a few embellishments.

I also used matting behind the stamped image and popped up some white trees from the Cabin Dies from this year's Mini-Catalogue (July-Dec 2021). The ribbon is the pool party sheer ribbon out of the Annual Catalogue.

The white trees were popped up with mini dimensionals. Also the snow lines are accentuated with Wink of Stella as well. I used a few layers of the Wink of Stella

The A-frame cabin is a replica of the cabin my friends and family stayed at while visiting lake Tahoe during the winter. Many memories made there!

I really hope you enjoyed my card!

Thanks for having a look at my blog contribution, and leave a message on how I can help you make this card or assist in getting you started in creating lovely creations yourself!

Now it's time to hop forward to Barbara Williams' blog.  I can't wait myself!

Cheers and Happy Stamping!
